Description of Work
Environment/Project Overview
Valcom currently provides ALSC
with contracted support for courseware development services at CFB Gagetown. We
are currently recruiting acceptable candidates to be employed as Intermediate
Multimedia Developers within the courseware development teams. Current
courseware development teams are made up of Project Managers, Subject Matter
Experts Instructional Designers, developers and support staff provided by ALSC.
Terms of Reference/Expected
tasks:
- Direct involvement in the development of
learning assets and products to be distributed electronically (elearning
products)
- Development of immersive and interactive
assets and emulations using a variety of development tools both audio and
visual
- Tools currently utilized in the development
and programming process include:
- Flash Action Script 2/3
- 3D modeling tools
- Game based software
- Must be a results orientated developer able
to work well in a team based environment
- Based on experience must be able to provide sound
advice and insights into all stages of product development
Mandatory Requirements
Must have:
- University Degree or
College Diploma in any field
- Minimum of 3 years
experience using Flash Action Script 2/3
- Developed/Packaged at
least 2 Computer Based/Web Based training courses within the last 3 years
- Optimized for performance
various multimedia assets (still images, video, audio) for at least 2
elearning products
- 3 years experience in
programming web-based applications using any scripting language, Java or C
based language as well as database and/or file structured back ends.
