CH 146/412 Technicians

Valcom is looking for the following CH 146 or 412 technicians:

Ten (10) aviation technicians (AME ‘M’ or ex-DND AVN);
Two (2) avionics technicians (AME ‘E’ or ex-DND AVS);
One (1) aircraft structures technician (AME ‘S’ or Ex-DND ACS);

The 2 crews shall consist of the following Qualifications:

Each crew shall have technicians that qualify for the following airworthiness authorities:

  • Two (2) aviation technicians meeting the eligibility criteria of Aircraft Release Authority (ARA); and
  • Three (3) aviation technicians meeting the eligibility criteria of Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA);
  • One (1) avionics technician meeting the eligibility criteria of Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).

One (1) qualified structures technician will work primarily a 40-hour week during the day shift. However, flexible hours are required to accommodate aircraft inspection schedules.

The structures technician must meet the eligibility criteria of Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).

Each Crew shall have:

  • Each crew has at least one (1) aviation technician crew member with three (3) years of CH146 experience, with rotor smoothing experience. This technician shall have held a Level A authorisation on type in the last twelve (12) months;
  • Each crew at least one (1) of the avionics technician crew member has three (3) years of CH146 experience. This technician shall have held a Level A authorisation on type in the last twelve (12) months;
  • Each crew at least one (1) of the aviation technician crew member is PT6T-3D qualified (i.e. has completed the Pratt & Whitney training), with three (3) years’ experience in engine rigging. This technician shall have held a Level A authorisation on type in the last twelve (12) months;

ARA Experience:

The ARA candidate shall have a least eight (8) years of maintenance experience of which four (4) have been as an ACA, either as an ex-DND Level A qualified on CH146 or a TCCA AME license holder (with “M1, M2”, “E” or “S” license) endorsed on 412.

ACA Experience:

Be a TCCA AME license holder with either “M1, M2”, endorsed on 412 or “E” or “S” license;

  • With at least 6 months’ experience in the last 24 months and have worked in an environment that has required the conduct of the airworthiness function IAW TCCA Airworthiness Manual (AWM) Chapter 566; and
  • Provide evidence that the Human Factor training is current;

OR

Be an ex-DND level A qualified on CH146;

  • With at least 6 months’ experience in the last 24 months and have worked in an environment that has required the conduct of the airworthiness function IAW C-05-005- P03/AM-001.
